From my day of building blocks to building formulas, I have strived to reap the benefits of every problem in my life. This can be difficult to unravel while standing alone in a state of stress from classes, family, and friends. Having the support I found in college has helped me reach a professional and divine mindset. I uncovered my potential which was veiled in High-School. When I first started at Brooklyn College, I began to get involved and help any person who asked for my help. This resulted in me making many friends, but only a few could be trusted. One individual who changed the course of my life introduced and invited me to a conglomerate of gentlemen that followed morals and standards that were respected by numerous campuses around the nation, not for a day, an hour, or a college term only, but for life; The Kappa Sigma Fraternity. I did countless hours of research, had hours of conversation with my mate, and thought for several months about the costs and benefits of joining this group whose members are coined as “the most wanted man.” Being extremely skeptical about this organization, I gave it a shot! I was taking the next step in my life equation. I can cheerfully and with dignity support the friend and advisor that are incumbent upon my brothers and me as Kappa Sigma’s.
Now that you know how and why I’m a brother, let us get to the “exciting” part of my life, my academics. I have worked in Student Affairs, am President of the Desi Culture Club, Grand Procurator of the Pi-Phi chapter of Kappa Sigma, and am former Campus Affairs chair for the CLAS student government. These campus experiences have shifted me to be a better man. I am an accounting major and my college experience is showing me a glorious path to the real world.
