Eynar Khaimov was in his junior year when he was initiated as a Founding Father of the Pi-Phi Chapter of The Kappa Sigma Fraternity on October 30, 2009. In his first two years at Brooklyn College, Eynar spent very little time on campus. Working part-time while going to school left little opportunity to get involved in campus life. However, things changed in Spring of 2009.
Eynar was elected president of the Pre-Law Society of Brooklyn College, the premier student organization. Being new to campus activities, Eynar sought out assistance to lead his organization. Coincidentally, that ensuing Fall semester, Eynar had two classes with the Brother who made Pi-Phi possible, Louis Martin Di Meglio. Lou helped Eynar build the structure for the Pre-Law Society and then he gave Eynar an invitation to join Kappa Sigma, the rest is history.
Kappa Sigma provided Eynar with the structure to excel in many different activities. Eynar’s hard work and dedication led to him being selected as the coveted Student Entrepreneur of the Semester in the Fall, 2008 in BC Alum, Ted Liebowitz’ Entrepreneur Program. He was also inducted into two Greek Honor Societies, Gamma Sigma Alpha National Greek Academic Honor Society and Order of Omega National Greek Leadership Honor Society.
Additionally, Eynar was among the inaugural class of students to receive the Dean’s List Pin recognition in the Spring, 2011. He was among a select group of students to interview the candidates for the founding deans of the School of Business and the School of Natural and Behavioral Sciences.
Eynar graduated in Spring 2011, magna cum laude with a discipline in Political Science and Philosophy (and Law). Eynar will be attending law school in the Fall, 2012.
